Jane Cobbald: Conversation with Frau Ingeborg Schauberger

Walter said help "Nature, help the trees. We have to have many more trees, more woodland. The first task for the woodland is to bring the water into existence."

Frau Schauberger is the widow of Walter, Viktor Schauberger’s son. She still lives in the family home in Bad Ischl, upper Austria. Each time I saw her she was wearing the traditional Austrian clothes, the close fitting tailored jacket and a dirndl skirt. Although she is less than five feet tall, she has a powerful presence and shows a sharp intelligence. She speaks some English, more than my German, so our conversation was mainly in English. She was concerned that she would not be able to express herself well in English, so at each meeting we had an interpreter sitting with us. At the time of our conversation, she was 89 years old.

Maps - Unconventional Research Areas

Submitted by admin on
This page originates at http://www.newphys.se/maps/ Structured vs. unstructured information

A striking feature, that anyone who starts to digress into unconventional research or the free energy area notes, is the immense amount of unstructured information. To get a grasp of the field is rather difficult. In order to assist 'navigation' in the free energy jungle, here are a couple of maps of phenomena and inventions. The maps are by no means complete but, maybe, can help you to get an overview.

Viktor Schauberger at Wien-Hadersdorf, Austria, 4th March 1940.
Processes and Equipment for the Atomic Transformation of Droppable Liquids or Gaseous Substances.

It is known that atomic transformation has been carried out by way of atomic destruction without having achieved any useful economic or commercial results in the process. It is also known that dissociation and recombination, therefore the rearrangement of the atoms, can be effected in the substrate with the aid of catalytic processes. In this regard it has been observed that these processes take place in a characteristic cycle or oscillating rhythm until a new state of equilibrium is established.

The process for the atomic transformation of liquid or gaseous bodies associated with this invention takes this rhythmical tendency during the course of such processes into account from the very beginning. Namely, in accordance with the invention, the aforesaid substances will be subjected to an increasingly rapid flow-motion, during which these substances will be exposed to alternating strong suctional and pressural forces, which results in significant changes to their surface tension.

Germano on the similarities between the Tesla Turbine and the Schauberger Repulsine

Hello List!

Here's my take on the similarities between the Tesla Turbine and the Schauberger Repulsine: Both are VERY similar in what is happening inside the units. In the Tesla Turbine, which, by the way, I have almost a decade of logged time in research and development, we have a spiraling vortex compression device. Adhesion and viscosity, naturally play a large part in how the turbine is driven. The singular problem with the Tesla Turbine is this: at start-up, it want to behave as if it were a Tesla Pump. Meaning, the central opening in the disk pack is "sucking" in air or fluid, and that sucking force must be overcome by the propelling fluid. This little tidbit of info always puzzled me, UNTIL, that is, when I started reading about Schauberger's Repulsine. Add to this the fact that, when the Tesla Turbine is run at internal temperatures high enough to cause the disks to become maliable (ie. above 1200 deg f.) they began to show definate similarities to Schauberger's wavy plates (in the Repulsine) - short of one difference - they scalloped like a clam shell.

The family coat of arms for the von der Schauenburg family was a broken trunk with a savage hedge rose wreathing around. The family motto was: "Findus in silvis sientibus" (Faithful to the silent forests).

Their castle once stood on Schauenberg. The last descendants of one of the last robber barons was caught in an ambush by the archbishop of Passau. The elder one was decapitated but the youngest was reprieved and exiled. Being the last of his family he went into the vaste primeval forests around Dreisselberg and settled down on the shore of Plöckensteinsee. Here he lived a life as a forester. From him the family Schauberger emerges, who during nearly one millennium have been foresters, fishermen and woodsmen.

The Transport of Ore in Double-Spiral-Flow Pipes

Submitted by admin on

Vienna, July 1939 (Schauberger Archives) (The Energy Evolution, page 93-94)

In 1933 a proposal was presented to the Alpine-Montan company stating that the ore from iron ore deposits could be delivered to Donawitz, not at the current price of about 3.50 schillings per tonne by rail, but at a cost of about 0.30 schillings per tonne by means of a patented double-spiral-flow pipe (see fig. 165).

At first this proposal was ridiculed, because according to expert opinion either the ore, having a specific weight of 1.9 and therefore heavier than water (= 1.0), would be left lying on the bottom or the pipe-walls would be heavily scoured within a short space of time, and therefore the proposal would not be commercially viable.

Josef Hasslberger on Richard Clem's rotational engine

Comments to CLEM1.ASC (KeelyNet) by Josef Hasslberger

Richard Clem's rotational engine

Although I do not have any information on Clem or his device, I would like to comment on the principle of operation, which seems quite simple and straightforward to who has studied the writings of Viktor Schauberger, the Austrian naturalist and inventor.

Indeed Schauberger was working with vortex action in liquids (especially in water) and was finding effects that were at the time, and are still now, unexplainable with the normal principles of physics or thermodynamics.

As far as I understand the engine made by Clem was built around a cone with spiralling channels cut into it and when a liquid, in that particular case vegetable oil, got pressed through the channels, they caused the cone to turn and at a certain point the flow of the liquid and the turning of the cone became self-sustaining, up to the point of putting out a good and heavy (350 HP for a 200 pound engine) power output.
