Rotoverter: RV Resonance Recovery Test Circuit - Half Diode Plug Across Run Cap

Submitted by esaruoho on

C1 is shown as 36uF as optimised to my particular motor. The normal range is around 17-24uF for normal RV operation.

The values C2 and C3 can be increased with experiment to see when the resonance is killed and the diode plug begins to draw increased load from the RV.

CALIFORNIA STATE SCIENCE FAIR - 2008 PROJECT SUMMARY
Name(s) Austin Adee; Alex Thomas
Project Number S0801
Project Title: Rotoverter

Abstract

Objectives/Goals
The objective of our project is to see if electricity can be generated more efficiently than onventional methods. We hypothesize that using two three-phase motors, in a setup a "Rotoverter" electric energy can be generated more efficiently than conventional methods.

Methods/Materials

Non-Reflective Battery Charging Circuit Via Sinewave Peak Pulsing Circuit for Rotoverter - Feb 26 2009 - Konehead

Submitted by esaruoho on
Here is way to charge battery from a rotovertor AC motor, and the pulsing to the charge battery only occurs at the peaks of the sinewave feeding the AC motor, which makes the battery-charging "non-reflective" to the amperage draw of the motor while charging the charge battery. In other words, the amps draw to the AC motor stays the same if charging 2nd battery stack or not.

Sinewave Peak Pulsing Circuit for Rotoverter - Sept 5 2008 update by Konehead

Here is the revised sinewave peak circuit where now the transformer is in series from Line 3 on RV motor instead of paralell across the run cap.
