Chapin B. Bouffard - Plug into Water: Generating Electricity through Electrokinetics

Objectives/Goals
The hypothesis of this project was if different types of salts were added to water, then there will be an
increase in the efficiency of generating electricity using the Kelvin Water Dropper.

Methods/Materials
500g of magnesium sulfate was added to 12.0L distilled water to make the magnesium solution. Also,
500g of sodium chloride was also added to 12.0L distilled water to make up the sodium solution. When
the tests were run, the water tank had to have the same amount of pressure for each trial in order to get
efficient results. Three trials were run for each solution with the following results:

Buckminster Fuller: Dymaxion House. Built out of Aluminum. Mass-manufactured. Totally Portable. Wind-Turbine installed. Automated pneumatic air-conditioning. Fog-Gun based Shower (Viktor Schauberger  water purification methods). Dymaxion Bathroom. Low weight. Can be mass-produced. Estimated mass-production cost 2500$.

When Jay Harman was a skinny 10-year-old swimming off the coral reefs of Australia's western coast, he had an insight that 37 years later would lead him to invent an industrial design that could change personal computing, aeronautics and how drinking water is purified.

As a nature-loving boy, the young Australian just wanted to swim faster, so he watched how fish moved through water and how seaweed undulated against the reef when a wave crashed.

The shape he noticed that day was a simple curve that fluidly formed into a spiral. From then on, Harman would see spirals as a common design in nature--in pinecones, whirlpools, a puff of smoke.

Now he believes spirals are a key to making a wide array of machines more energy-efficient. Through his 9-year-old company, Pax Scientific, he's trying to bring that natural form into the technological world. So far, he's invented industrial designs for fans, pumps and propellors that mimic the geometries of spiraling whirlpools. Experts believe these designs can reduce friction, wasted energy, noise and unwanted heat.

Abstract

The Earth is bathed in a sea of cosmic and solar energies. Can a device be built that can transform this high frequency energy into usable power? I believe that T. H. Moray did build such a device. This has inspired me to conduct my research and to build my own prototypes. How the radiant energy device really worked might shock a few people once the facts become known.

Present day alternative energy researchers find hope in that, one day, power will be obtained from the energy that runs the Cosmos. In reality, this dream proves to be a lure to its followers, beyond the limits of credibility. A quagmire of unsubstantiated hypotheses exists, so bottomless and unreal. The facts of many newly conceived energy concepts are wholly inadequate, lacking justification, and incapable of throwing any light on the promise of inexpensive, abundant sources of energy.
